The Holiday Countdown is on! As of the date of this post, there are 37 days until Thanksgiving, 66 days until Christmas, and 73 days until 2021. I have to admit that 2021 can’t get here soon enough! Even though most of us are ready to say goodbye to 2020, we don’t want to lose sight of the fact that Jesus is with us NOW. He is Emmanuel, God with us. Christmas is the best time of the year to appreciate this precious truth. My husband and I love Christmas so much that we actually listen to Christmas music all year round! The other day as I was listening to our favorite Christmas music station on Pandora, the thought came to me to write an Advent devotional series incorporating the amazing themes found in these classic hymns and carols. Now more than ever we need to be reminded of His presence with us. I hope you will join me starting November 29 through Christmas Eve as we reflect on the amazing miracle of the Advent.
