Welcome to my blog! My prayer is that everyone who finds this space will be drawn into a deeper relationship with the Lord through His Word. The name of this blog, Simply Persuaded, comes from Romans 8:38-39, where Paul declares His unshakable confidence in God’s love:

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39 NASB95

The word persuaded means to be convinced, to believe, trust, and to have confidence. To be persuaded is at the heart of faith. As we surrender to God’s Word with a simple “Yes Lord,” He begins to live His life through us. That daily surrender is how we experience abundant life in Christ. Though saying “Yes Lord” may sound simple, its impact is profound. It involves the death of self, and the reward is experiencing the manifold grace of God. Being persuaded by God has changed my life forever. I am confident that His Word is true and that nothing can ever separate us from His love.

Wherever you are in your walk with the Lord- whether you are full of faith, struggling to believe, or just beginning to seek Him- God can use His Word to transform your life as you surrender to Him. My prayer is that, as you read, you will be encouraged to trust Him deeper, believe in His promises more fully, and become ever confident in His love for you.

This blog is devotional in nature and is designed to encourage you to be persuaded by God. Here, you’ll find regular blog posts, as well as Bible study series, that can be found in the main menu. Be sure to subscribe to receive regular posts in your email. Whether you are stopping by for a short word of encouragement or walking through a deeper study of Scripture, I pray you will be strengthened in your faith through the truth of God’s Word. All believers need encouragement to keep believing, and all unbelievers need encouragement to believe! C.S. Lewis once said:

“I believe in Christ like I believe in the sun. Not because I can see it, but by it I can see everything else.”

C.S. LEWIS

That kind of confidence is what it means to be persuaded. Are you persuaded?
